Fayose Vows To Lead Nationwide Opposition Against APC
Governor Ayodele Fayose

Governor, Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti state has vowed to lead a nationwide campaign against the All Progressives Congress (APC) beginning from the South-West region of the country.
The governor, who is currently in a running battle with the APC members of the Ekiti State House of Assembly, made this vow in a statement yesterday, April 22, in Ado Ekiti.

According to Punch, Fayose lamented that he had become the“ prime demolition target” of the APC national leadership because of his “overt and unalloyed support for President Goodluck Jonathan during the campaigns.”
The governor promised to remain loyal to Jonathan and be his last man standing even if all Nigerians deserted him.
He said: “I wish to declare unequivocally that I remain loyal to President Jonathan even after May 29 as my support for his re-election and administration was not about bread-and-butter.”

In the same vein, the 19 APC lawmakers of State House of Assembly have been issued a seven-day ultimatum to drop the impeachment proceeding against Fayose.

The ultimatum was issued by some women in Ikere Ekiti on Wednesday who warned  that failure to back down from the impeachment proceeding against the governor would incur the wrath of the gods.
They also cautioned that any attempt to impeach Fayose would spark violence in the state.
Supporting the position of the women, Mr. Duro Faseyı, a senator-elect for Ekıtı North Senatorıal dıstrıct and embattled Speaker, Dr. Adewale Omırın also warned the lawmakers against settıng the state on fıre.

In another development, Ayo Fayose has hinted members of the public over an alleged plot by the All Progressives Congress to cause chaos in his state as from May 29, 2015. Fayose said he has put the United Nations, African Union and the international community on notice “on the imminent reign of impunity from that day.”
