The 60-year-old woman had purportedly kept the dead boy at their family house, Ifako-Ijaiye in Ojokoro area, since 2012.
According to P.M. News after the deceased had passed away, the woman with the knowledge of her daughters, tried to bury him in Delta State, at her mother-in-law’s place.
However, she did not manage to complete that and returned the body back to Lagos.
She was said to have kept the husband’s corpse unburied without his relatives being aware of the development.
Under interrogation Joy explained that she never told them because they were not in good relationships.
According to Joy’s version, the man died after the long-lasting sickness.
Her neighbours expressed shock over the situation. However, after the discovery (on a tip-off), the body was deposited at a mortuary for autopsy.
One of the neighbours said that when her husband, the landlord of the house, died, she did not bury him because it would have exposed his death to his family. And their relationships were far from cordial.
