Police to probe Wike’s tapped phone

The Inspector-General of Police, Mr Ibrahim Idris, on Thursday in Abuja inaugurated a joint investigative panel on the Dec. 10 legislative re-run elections in Rivers, with one of the tasks being to probe the phone call between Governor Nyesom Wike and some electoral officials.

The 15-man panel, headed by DCP Damien Okoro, consists of officers of the police and the Department of State Services (DSS) with investigative, forensic and technical expertise.“The panel which is to conduct its investigation in conjunction with a team from the Department of States Services (DSS) has the following terms of reference:

Father burns daughter’s eyes, private parts with iron in Lagos

The Nigeria Police, Lagos Command, has arrested a man, Surakat Idowu, for allegedly brutalising his 5-year-old daughter with a hot iron in the Ikotun area of the state.

45yrs old Idowu, who separated from his wife in 2013, allegedly tortured the girl with an iron in the face and in the private parts on Monday.

The little girl, who stayed with her father on Kayode Toyeso Street, Liasu Road, in Ikotun, had been asked by her dad to dispose faeces in a potty into the latrine, but she poured it on the floor.

The lady, Mercy, alleged that the man drugged, r*ped her and thereafter stole and stuff, but the man said they both agreed to have 'nice time' and he will pay her after everything but he had no money.
His words: “I do not r*pe them. I don’t also drug them. We usually have s*x but I steal their things and run. I was desperate in need of money to send to my wife so that one of my daughters who is sick can be treated.

A mum-of-nine, who is convinced she is 15 months pregnant , has been told by a doctor that she's 'just fat.'
According to MirrorUK, Linda Reeves, 50, says she is certain a baby is growing outside her womb as she says she can feel it kicking and squirming.
But despite her strong conviction she's pregnant five scans have shown that there is nothing there.

She said one doctor has even told her she is just 'too fat' and another has said she has a mental health
problem and it's a phantom pregnancy.

But she refuses to give up and is holding out hope doctors will give her a CAT scan.
