Guys, How would you feel when you realize that the restaurant which you are about to eat in has dead people there?
That should be the same question posed to customers who frequent a diner in India where the living dine with the dead.
Krishan Kutti, the owner of the restaurant (living of course) says the having the dead in the midst of the living is great for business adding that it was a personal decision to keep the graves intact rather than ripping them out for his restaurant.
The New Lucky Restaurant is built on an old Muslim cemetery and features tables scattered round real coffins.
Although Kutti has no idea whom the graves belong to, he says:
“We begin our day by paying respects to the graves. We wipe them and cover them with cloth and also shower flowers on them. It is important to respect the dead.”
Despite the eerie appearance, customers do not seem to mind at all and are little or less concerned about the graves and go on with their daily business.
