Butcher Arraigned For Armed Robbery



A 27-year old butcher, Ahmed Musa, has been remanded in prison custody on the order of a magistrate’s court sitting in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, northcentral Nigeria, for allegedly attacking and dispossessing Sambo Bani of his valuables.
The accused and two others now at large were said to have allegedly attacked the victim on 22 July while he was returning to his village, Ogamue,  from Ile-Shau Baruba market.

The accused and his accomplices were reported to have suddenly emerged from the bush and attacked the victim who was riding a motorcycle, with cutlasses and other weapons.
They allegedly injured him and dispossessed him of N120,000.
According to investigation conducted at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Ilorin, the accused and the two others at large were the hoodlums that conspired and attacked the victim.
The Magistrate, Mrs. M. B. Adeyemo, while upholding the submission of the prosecutor, Corporal Adenigba Lukman, ordered that the accused be remanded at the Federal Prisons, Oke-Kura, Ilorin, until 10 September when the case would come up for further mention.
