Top Actress, Iyabo ojo has discredited social media report that her new movie, silence is a flop. The versatile role interpreter expressed dissatisfaction over the purported remark of alleged poor turnout at the cinemas during its viewing on Friday, January 9, 2015, at the Silverbird Cinemas, Ikeja Lagos.
The famous entertainer in a reply to Playgroundtv’s text message on Sunday, January 18, 2015, was of the opinion that whoever criticizes the flick has not watched it. She therefore enjoined the public to see the film before jumping into conclusion.
Please, watch the movie so you can draw your conclusion. The same message goes to the general public.’’ All efforts to get further reaction from the Ilaro, Ogun born film maker proved abortive as all the calls put through to her mobile line were not honored.
Meanwhile, according to the publication, the viewing of silence recorded a low turnout which allegedly led to the Silverbird cinemas management to compel Iyabo Ojo to shift the viewing schedules in favour of another film in the same hall.
But when contacted on Sunday, January 18, the pretty mother of two children, Festus and Pricilla debunked it all. Silence is a multi-million naira movie that centers on child abuse, its consequences and how to curb it in our society. It parades a galaxy of stars, including Alex Osifo, Ronke Ojo, Joseph Benjamin, Fathia Balogun, Tina Mba, Doris Simeon and Iyabo Ojo, who doubles as producer.
It was premiered alongside beyond disability, also produced by Iyabo Ojo on Sunday, December 21, 2014, at the oriental hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
