Chelsea’s Eden Hazard comes above Cristiano Ronaldo in most valuable players list [Graphic]

The CIES Football Observatory today released their latest findings on the most valuable footballers in world football.

Five of the the top ten players on the list play in the Premier League with Eden Hazard a little surprisingly coming above Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

Age is obviously taken into account and Ronaldo reached the grand old age of 30 earlier this season whilst Belgian Eden Hazard is six years younger.

Barcelona legend Leo Messi is head and shoulders above the Chelsea winger with a value of €255.3 – 280.8m.

Young Liverpool star Raheem Sterling comes in sixth behind Sergio Aguero whilst Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez also makes the top 10 after a superb first season in the Premier League.

Diego Costa is 8th whilst the most expensive player in the world, Gareth Bale, lies 16th in the list following a pretty awful campaign.

The CIES Football Observatory found that Barcelona have the most valuable team in the world, closely followed by Chelsea and then Real Madrid and Arsenal.
