Since the elections, the nation experienced a certain peace and quiet it was almost impossible to believe there would be any form of violence as there always is whenever an election takes place.
Hope was once more brought into the country that an election can take place without as much as tons of people dying Or so we thought.
Five people have been killed in Ajah, Lagos state as these men were suspected to have been working for political parties. The men were said to have been returning from a naming ceremony when the siege happened.
The killer gang was also said to have entered the vehicle and used cutlasses and knives to slit the throats of some of the occupants.
Apparently, five others, who sustained injuries during the onslaught, escaped by a whisker.
According to investigations by Punch, the deceased and survivors were working with the Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Oyebanji branch, Lagos Island, Alhaji Mustapha Adekunle (aka Seego).
