RCCG reacts to controversial giving form

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) authorities have addressed the controversial sacrifice form issued by one of their pastors in Region 14. The controversial sacrificial giving form The RCCG authorities have addressed the controversial issue with the official statement below: ‘The attention of the authorities of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has been drawn to a social media posting of a certain call for Sacrificial giving in RCCG REGION 14 and towards a certain building project. Our findings revealed that one of our Pastors in Charge of Parish has acted without approval.
Whilst we decry his approach, we will like to state that giving is a God ordained principle and that we teach and encourage in RCCG. However, we do not condone or encorage any form of compulsion and would not be a party to undue and unnecessary exploitation. We would like to state that should anyone give towards this project or any other, let him or her give out of conviction and NOT compulsion but because God loves a cheerful giver. Shalom. For RCCG’

 Recall that yesterday, June 6, a sacrificial giving form made by one of the mission’s pastor caused a meltdown on social media. In the sacrifice form, it was noted that N1m and above is a “divine sacrifice” while full month salary is an abundant sacrifice, but if you give your half month salary, it is dominion sacrifice. N200,000 is called greatness sacrifice, N50,000 – golden sacrifice and N20,000 is a sacrifice for those wishing for the next level.The sacrificial form generated lots of reactions and here are few below: Okay!
