First Female Chief Judge Sworn-In in Rivers State

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike on Monday worn in the substantive Chief Judge of the state, Justice Daisy Wotube Okoch, after a long legal rigmarole. She has been the state Acting Chief Judge since June 1, 2015. Governor Wike said that the government acted in line with recommendation of the National Judicial Council, which was confirmed by the Court of Appeal.
