Sean Combs has changed mansions about as many times as he’s changed names. Right around when he transformed into P. Diddy in 2011, the artist formerly known as Puff Daddy was selling this 10,000-square-foot mansion for $2.313 million. P. Diddy has since dropped the P, but his former home certainly hasn’t dropped in price – the 1998 build recently returned the Beverly Hills, CA, market for a whopping $10.9 million.
Located inside the affluent and guard-gated neighborhood known as the Summit, Diddy’s former digs are pretty much what one would expect of a business and entertainment mogul. The recently expanded property comes with a wealth of luxury features and can even be had on a turn-key basis, including all the artwork.
Things start out with a bang with a dramatic, two-story foyer that showcases a detailed spiral staircase and a massive chandelier. The lower level of the mansion offers a chef’s kitchen, a state-of-the-art media room and a family room with a sports bar. Upstairs, a palatial master suite, one of seven bedrooms and seven-and-a-half baths, comes with dual baths and custom stone appointments. Each room in the house boasts Creston home automation with temperature, lighting and audio iPad control.
Outside, the robust, 30,000-square-foot lot includes highlights like a large cobblestone motor court with a fountain, a pool and spa with “special effects” and numerous patios and fire pits.
Diddy’s real estate dealings have been excellent tabloid fodder over the last few years. In early 2012, a crazed fan broke into the rap mogul’s mansion in East Hampton and proceeded to dine on Diddy’s food, drink his liquor and parade around in his clothing. Later that year, Diddy made headlines again when he listed a pair of penthouses in New York for $8.5 million and $20 million. He was back in the tabloids in early 2013 after rumors surfaced that Diddy was battling Jerry Bruckheimer for a $23 million mansion in Beverly Hills.
