As everyone awaits the result of the autopsy on late Ronke Shonde, a credible insider has revealed that the test is fully done and the content of the autopsy report could be a big shocker for many.
A source told Punch that the report, to be released next week, might not go the way of public opinion.
Lekan, a dockworker in Apapa, had fled after his landlady and her daughter called him that his wife was dead and he was the suspect and police was looking for him. He panic, as most people would do.
But after speaking to his family and friends, telling them his side of the strange development, they told him that the best thing is for him to go to the police and he surrendered himself for investigation.
Lekan Shonde had denied any complicity in the death of his wife.
He also accused his late wife, Ronke, of sleeping with the general manager of a publishing company where she worked. He said she took it to the extent of mocking him with the adulterous act.
Now that the autopsy is done, the source said, “The police brought the corona form on Wednesday and the autopsy was conducted on Thursday. The report should be ready next week Tuesday. But the outcome will be a shocker to the world.”
It was learnt that Ronke’s family had postponed all plans for her burial till when the result was released.
Mr Shonde's wife's alleged boyfriend, one Kayode, is said to be on the edge. In fact, a journalist from Punch called him on the phone, but he cut the call immediately he knew who was calling him.
Police has assured that their investigation would be thorough and free of bias or public sentiments.
