1. 9 1/2 Weeks: Old School Ogling
There’s nothing like a good onscreen romp to start your week off, amiright? Let’s get smokin’ with the hottest movie sex scenes of all time!
The 1986 flick combines two great things: anonymous sex and snacks. How could you go wrong with all those strawberries, olives, and pastrami on rye? And that’s before we even get to a pre-bizarre Mickey Rourke melting ice cubes on blindfolded Kim Bassinger’s sexy stomach. Sizzle. Chomp. Sizzle.
2. Brokeback Mountain: Cowboy Coitus
Lovely Wyoming Mountains and even lovelier cowboys Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal huddling together in a tent for warmth. It doesn’t take long before things heat up. Not as graphic as many of the love scenes between straight couples in current cinema, Ang Lee’s 2005 film still broke down barriers and gave viewers several sexy things to think about—like if the hunky heartthrobs wanted a special guest star.
3. Crash: Strictly Vehicular
Not the sentimental racial drama that walked away with the Academy Award for best picture in 2004, but the 1996 David Cronenberg pic where pretty people (Holly Hunter, Rosanna Arquette, and a pre-bloat James Spader) get all hot and bothered by car accidents. Dark, disturbing, and incredibly erotic it’s hard to pinpoint the sexiest scene—a husband and wife turning each other on recounting their affairs, the group grope after watching a smash-up—but any flick that can manage to make driver’s education videos porn-y deserves a spot on the list.
4. Original Sin: Sexy and Sinful
Antonio Banderas and Angelina Jolie should make the sex scene hall of fame for this piping hot on-screen tryst. In fact, we always hoped these two would end up together in real life after seeing them entangled together, naked limbs astray in the film. It’s never too late! Sorry, Brad.
5. Gone With the Wind: Memorable Morning After
Sure, they don’t actually show ANYTHING in the 1940 classic. Still, when an angry Clark Gable sweeps Vivian Leigh into his arms and carries her off to the bedroom claiming “This is one night you’re not turning me out,” audience members know that something spectacular goes on between that fade-to-black and the goofy grin on Scarlett’s face the next morning.
