A woman in Lagos has been apprehended by the police after reports that she was guilty of human trafficking.
The middle aged suspect, identified simply as Mrs. Victor, is said to have sold a 2-month old baby for N30,000.
She was arrested by the police at her home in the Sabo Ilaje area of the state after a tip-off.

Police sources at the State Criminal Investigation Department where the suspect is currently being detained, told Crime Guard that there was a complaint that the suspect was engaged in child trafficking.
When she was arrested, she confessed to have sold a two month-old baby for N30,000. She is yet to state the name of the buyer nor give us her contact. She still insists she did not know the person. Investigation is still on-going Police sources said.
