A man who raped a 4-year-old child has been granted a bail of N300, 000.
47-year-old Orire Agidiogun was ordered by the court to produce two sureties, who must show evidence of tax payment to Lagos State Government.
According to court records, the man is facing a three-count charge bordering on rape, and unlawful detention. He reportedly committed this awful act at 10.00 p.m. on October 8 at his apartment.
It was revealed that he lured the young child into his room where he then sexually assaulted her.
He was caught when the mother heard her daughter’s cry and she quickly alerted people around, who helped to apprehend him. The woman later reported the case to the police.
He may be sentenced to life imprisonment if convicted.
