VETERAN ACTOR, ADEBAYO SALAMI, OGA BELLO CLOCKS 62

Adebayo Salami fondly known as Oga Bello in the Nollywood movie industry was born in Lagos State on the 9th of May 1953. He holds a National Diploma degree in Purchasing and Supply from Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, Nigeria, and he is currently undergoing an MBA programme in Marketing at Lagos State University in Nigeria.


Oga Bello started his acting career in 1964 with a group called Young Concert Party led by Ojo Ladipo a.k.a. Baba Mero and featured in a first Yoruba movie produced by Dr. Ola Balogun titled “Ajani Ogun” in 1977.

He was brought to limelight in a television drama. He is a responsible polygamist with grown up children, four of whom have taken after him in the acting careers.

Oga Bello is presently in a celebration mood, as he is today May 12, 2015 clocked 62. Though, we are yet to know either he is celebrating it big or not but information getting to us claimed that he will hold a prayer session in his Ikorodu, Lagos Nigeria home and cut the birthday cake together with his family and any other celebration may come up after.

Although, Baba Ni Baba as Oga Bello is often called is 62, he does not look it at all. He is still actively involved in movie production and he is patriarch of the Adebayo Salami Organization.
