A teacher married his student after being charged with having s*x with her when she was 17 years old.  The high school math teacher of Alabama, married his student when she graduated after he was charged with having an inappropriate relationship with her.


Matthew Shane Wester, 37, was indicted on charges of having a s*xual relationship with his student.  Officials said that the marriage will affect the criminal case against the Cleveland High School math teacher.
Prosecutors said that they will be forced to drop the charges against him now that he married the victim.
Wester married 18-year-old Amy Nicole Cox over the weekend, and under Alabama law, spouses cannot be compelled to testify against each other. The couple got a marriage license and married in Gulf Shores on Saturday, according to public records.
