FEATURED BAD MARKET! 5 NIGERIAN ARTISTS WHO SHOULDN’T HAVE VENTURED INTO MUSIC

vico6
Music has become the latest trend for every tom dick and harry these days. Music is not meant for everyone. There are only a very few in Nigerian music industry who are really and truly can be called a real musician, but that is not even the issue that I would like to treat at the moment.
What baffles me most is the fact that there are some people in our music industry who could have done better in other fields or professions. They are more than five but I would like to pick out this five Nigerian artists just to drive in my point and maybe you the readers would agree with me or possibly disagree, it’s only my opinion. You can share yours too. Feel free to share your thoughts.

Tonto Dike
BOOB TONTO DIKE
Tonto Dike has been described as a goddess of the silver screen and she has done pretty well on her acting career. In 2005 she competed in the reality Tv show called The Next Movie Star and she emerged the first runner up. Acted in several movies and have won multiple awards to her name. She definitely have created an A-list profile for herself in Nollywood and she ‘s highly respected in the movie industry, but after conquering the movie industry she decide to explore her other talents by going into music.
Her music career hasn’t been successful as her acting career. Although she’s signed to DB Records owned by D’banj. She has some couple songs and video to her name like ‘Crazily Fit” featuring Terry G, Jeje, Some More, Carriage and Sugar Rush featuring D’banj. If you ask me I would say Tonto Dikeh should have just stocked to acting and leave music to the musicians. Although she’s trying but she can still do better if she put in more effort she can still make it big since she already has the fame going for her.

SkiiBii
ski
Five Star Music signed artist SkiiBii is well known for his very expensive stunt he played on us some few months back when allegation broke from his management that he slummed and died. He became very popular for that death stunt but before that he was hardly known in the music industry even being signed to a top record label which houses acts like Kcee and Harrysong.

SkiiBii career has gone from bad to worse after the death stunt. The sudden fame he got didn’t last enough to give him enough boost to help his career, instead he was mocked and scorned. Till today SkiiBii hasn’t been able to ride on his short lived fame to impact his music positively by giving us good hit songs. He doesn’t have any hit song to his name so far. He seems to be good at playing pranks and jokes. Music hasn’t paid off for him yet. He can always try other profession out if music is not paying his bills.

Vic O

Vic O is one artist who shouldn’t even be into music at all. He has no business whatsoever in the music industry. It just surprises me how someone with little or no talent is able to gather a few fame. Comedy would have been a better choice for him. No beefing but sometimes the truth can be bitter.

He’s well known for his rant on social media about his self acclaimed king of rap. He even sang a diss song for Drake and Meek Mill and he onces claimed to be the best rapper n Nigeria. I wish him  all the best but he should look for his right calling.

Kenny Saint Brown
Kenny-Saint-Brown--581x330
Kenny Saint Brown is a gospel artist signed under Keniis Music. She is a sister to Kenny Ogungbe and she enjoyed massive publicity and hype from her record label since she was related to the CEO of the label. Given all the support she got, it’s expected of her to be in the league of artists 2face, Olu Maintain and Sammy Okposo since she started the same time or even before some of them who are still very much relevant in the Nigerian music industry.

She haven’t been able to live up to expectation and because of that it’s kind of obvious that music wasn’t really her calling. She could have done better in other profession.

D’Prince
dprince
D’ Prince of Mavin Record is one artist who to me hasn’t really proved to be someone who really is fit to be in the music industry. Reasons are not for his singing capability but on other sociable issues. He has a few hit songs to his name but he’s still lacking a lot in so many areas, making me to wonder if music was really his calling. He would been more proficient in other profession where he won’t need to be in the public glare.

D’ Prince would have fit a better executive working in a multinational company. He seems like a very cool person who is good at solving problems. Banking would have been a better profession for him though. This is just me sharing my opinion, don’t take it personal.
