Guardiola deal to replace Jose is 90% done

Chelsea have fired Jose Mourinho as manager and Guus Hiddink is likely to take up the role as interim manager until the end of the season.

However according to the Daily Star, the Dutchman will relinquish the post to Spaniard, Pep Guardiola, during the summer of 2016 when he leaves Bayern Munich.

The report suggests Chelsea have been in discussions with the former Barcelona gaffer to take over the role a long-term manager of the West London club.

A source said,

Roman Abramovich is a Guardiola fan. The Move to bring him in is already 90 per cent done already.
Mourinho was sacked on Thursday after Roman Abramovich’s side find themselves sitting 16th on the league table and one point above the relegation zone.

Despite winning the Capital One Cup and Premier League title last season, the ex-Inter Milan trainer has been asked to leave the club following poor results this season.

However, Chelsea face stiff competition from Manchester City and United  to sign the highly coveted manager should he leave Bayern next summer.

Guardiola, 44, has a long term personal ambition to manager the Brazil national team and sims to help them win the 2022 World Cup.

That ambition may crock the deal as Abramovich also prefers a long term role that sees the two time Bundesliga title winner stay at Chelsea for a long time.
