Leicester who may win the English league crown in a few hours today are said to have revived their interest in the Nigerian international as they plan for the Champions League next season.
The 23-year-old was a target for Claudio Ranieri in January but Leicester believed CSKA’s asking price was too high as they pushed for £20million.
Musa is fast, can play across the frontline and has scored 12 goals in 32 games this season. He also has Champions League experience, something lacking in Ranieri’s squad for now.
The Mail Online reported that Leicester sent scouts to watch Musa against Lokomotiv Moscow earlier this month to keep up to date with his performances.
Leicester had two bids rejected in January but will hope to strike a compromise at around £18m for Musa in the coming weeks.
